Has anyone ever heard of a way to put power sterring on a '59 CJ without using a Saginaw Box?

Heard of it? Yes... there were other power steering applications that folks in the 50s/early 60s retrofitted into CJs besides Saginaw.
One that I've heard of is Studebaker, or was it Hudson components? I can't recall... I've never actually seen one of these so I can't offer any info as to the design, sources, etc. But I did read about them many years ago.
Clearly, the easiest way to do power steering on a '59 CJ is by using the Saginaw components.
Stock F-head engine? You'll have to fab a bracket to properly/securely locate the pump. We have at least one guy over at ECJ5 who has made a bracket and runs power steering on an F-head :)
Of course if your 59 has a V6 or V8, the brackets can usually be found easliy.
You should come over to ECJ5 and search the forum/ask some questions... :)
