Has anyone delt with pirelli scorpions? I have only been able to drive my jeep on dry pavement, so I do not really know what they might be like for off road. they came with my jeep, which is nice..they are brandnew..is 29", and 8" wide..which makes it a realatively nice tire for someone with a small bankbook. They are agresive enough to easaly get rid of 'BC' mud, and are quite on the road. What I really want to know is how well they stand up to basic to moderate 4x4ing. I have only been driving since october (mainly a minivan) and I have only had this jeep for a couple of weeks, most of the time it has been on jack stands while I add a few things it didnt come with, and rebuild some broken things (it will be done by the end of the week thank god!)

definately a decent A/T tire not the best in the world.. but worthy of the pirelli name none the less

I wasnt expecting them to be the best, the guy said he got them for free off of a friend, who never used them (the previous owner was lucky enough to get a deal) So I guess im safe for tires. My brother went 4x4ing with his XJ, it was an 86 with the V6 in it, and he had really bad tires on it. He got stuck in a bad situation, lost control, and fell off an cliff..not to big of one, he didnt get hurt...but he plowed through a few trees and totaled his jeep. My dad went up that road in his XJ to rescue my brother...and he had no problems with his michelins (I think i spelled that right) I know im not a crazy driver like my brother..but right now I have no off road skill, and I must not take any risks...oh yeah, and thanks for opion.. its raining all this week, so 4x4ing is a no go (streams become rivers arround here...and rivers seem like lakes) I will have to try it them out on some local trails in town when it starts to dry out.

I had 4 on a Dodge Durango 4X4 years back and ran 30X9.5's on it...they were quiet and good in rain/snow.....Never got down and dirty in the mud with 'em, but ran trails (moderate to rough) with no difficulties.

a guy at school found out I got an xj, and said "Can you take me 4x4ing?"
my answer was "If you pay for the food, drinks and gas" he said ok. I will make sure my tank is empty when it comes time to fill it...cost 75$ here to fill an empty tank (full size of course)
