Recently picked up a 2000 WJ Laredo w/26K... Love it to death, can't wait to crawl around in the mud.

BUT...

I noticed that the mileage is quite worse than the "sticker" - Maybe I'm getting 12 on the street and 15 or 16 on the highway. Friends (also with GC's) tell me I'm about average.

That said, anyone using "Restore" or "Slick 50" or any of the "super lubes" with any amount of luck?

JS :o)

To improve mileage, drive down hill with a tail wind. Welcome to the wonderful world of jeeps. :) something about the brick body just isnt very aerodynamic. ;)

I personaly dont know ANYONE that gets good mileage in their Jeep... even the 4cyl wranglers arent too hot as far as mileage goes. be glad your still measuring in MPH and not miles per gallon. (on the trails its more like gallons per hour).

Best thing I can tell you is this... measure it by the enjoyment it brings you on and off road, then try to find any other vehicle that could keep up with what it can do. Jeep will win every time. :D
