I was just wondering if there would be any problems using my T-176 tranny with a 300 horse Chevy 350? I know that the T-176 was originaly designed for the AMC V8, but I'm not sure if it will convert well with a Chevy block. Has anyone here tried this before? ;)

Hello,
Jeepcat, how did you get 375 horse power out of a 360? Did you have some head work done and what kind of camshaft did you use? I have a '79 304 with a 600 Holley and an Edelbrock Performer intake. This thing is a boat anchor. I'm lookong for a 401.

I got 375 horses out of my 360 through very extensive head work.I am a machinist.I bored the mill over , fitted with new pistons. The heads were ported and polished, fitted with bigger valves. The cam is as steep as I could find, and the motor LOVES fuel.E-mail me and I will send you some pics. The crank had mass work done also.
