what will swap with the existing tranney this was a stock set up but the motor went and i dont think i can find another 4cyl motor so what would be a good and easy swap?? unless someone has a good 4cyl close to northern il

Another F-head.

Seriously, there's nothing that's a direct swap but another F or L-head.

So you're left with the age old dilemma, which engine to use. Personally I'd go with the Buick V6, either a 225 or a 231 from a RWD car.
