Get an Ox TRax with the updated 35 rear axle (solve two problems at the same time) ahh, dreaming of a 4.56:1...
(...deadpedal drifts off for a moment....)
That'll keep you going slow over boulders, going straight up.
It sounds like you're going for on-demand locking, so i'm gonna say my 2 cents about the ARB too though.
ARB is nice, but I don't trust it becuase the air compressor is a weak design link. At least with the Ox you can switch out cables, which sounds a lot easier than having to huff and puff and...
blow a lot of air into your diff.
That could take a while stranded in the boondocks.
As for the Electrac, never dealt with one, never even seen one before.
Good luck and happy locker hunting!

I was never good with vacuum leaks in my engines, I guess that's where I get my feelings about air leaks. I read the JU forum posts and all I got out of it is that they both have their problems. ARB has their air leak problems and an Ox has its' cable problems.
So this is what I got out of the whole thing.
On-demand lockers aren't as "drop-in-and-forget" as other lockers.
Expect some limited problems early on and they'll eventually get solved, but in the end I think I would actually like to try an ARB. Daddy's getting VIAIR for Christmas.

Beautiful thing about them though, they are on-demand.
Open or locked, supposed to be awesome when in use. I'm willing to overlook a few desgn flaws, as long as I can fix the problem myself and it doesn't raise the price too much.
