max tire size

sorry for the stupid question i'm not a liberty owner i'm asking on behalf of my sister. I'm going to be upgrading soon and will have the factory 30" tires sitting in my garage my sister will be needing new tires soon and the ones that i have still have a good 80-85 % on them will my 30" 15"rims 9.5 fit on her 03 liberty i think her tires ar a 27" or something 215 75r 16 also isd the lug pattern the same ??? thanx for the info

Umm, I'm pretty sure the 15 inch wheels won't clear the front brake rotors. At least not without a wheel with almost no backspace. Also, with the liberty being the 03, it is lower than an 02 by .86 inch in the front and .75 inch i the rear. This was done by DC to reduce the roll-over issues for the soccer moms. That being said, I don't think the 30s will fit without rubbing issues. I know 31s wouldn't fit on my 02. I fit helps any, the largest tire you can fit with a 2.5 inch lift is 31".

no your 15's wont clear the back rotors and calipers. good luck. if you keep the stock wheels you can pick up a good set of all terrains or mudders for 350-400 bucks at that "RACK" place that sells "TIRE"s getting those also gives her a warranty and keeps her good and safe. if you are looking at 31's on a liberty you need 2.5 inch lift except the poly spacer lifts. those are tricky. if you get a cheap one the tires will rub in fron on full rotation and your turning radius goes down to nothing. also your liberty will lean in any turn so an addco sway bar is a great investment. if you have 30's your looking good clearing the suspension and lift well and filling your wheel well. just look into getting her the right tires and re-using her rims. if she doesnt like her rims look into liberty specific replacements so that you know it will work with your oem suspension components.

I put a k&n filter in my 2002 KJ and a new cat back system and the driving has improved greatly. I also put Royal Purple motor oil to help with the wonderful fuel prices.:USA: What else can I do for beefing up my little KJ.
I used to be a former TJ owner but had to give it up for a four door fatherhood model. but still want to have fun.

biggest tire stock...245/70/16's

Biggest tire with 2.5" lift...265/75/16's with liberal amount ot trimming

Some 15" rims will fit...just depends but backspacing and width will be a major concern.

I have 245/70/16s on my 05 that is otherwise stock and there looks like there should be plenty of room to go with 245/75/16s.

Has someone done this and had problems? I am actually looking at getting some new tires soon and was thinking of bumping up to the 75s.

Was also thinking about a cheap 2" lift or so after the holidays.
