Has anyone ever heard of a way to get a lift simply by getting your leaf springs "resprung" to a different bend. I live in PA, have a CJ-7 and am looking to lift it more. It already has a 2 inch body lift and a 2 inch skyjacker suspension lift. I was considering a springover but that seemed to difficult because I was planning to hunt down some wagoneer axles to use. Anyhow someone suggested getting my leaf springs resprung and I cant find any more information and he didnt know anywhere that could be done. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

My dad had that done to his jeep, and a leaf added..because hes too cheap to get new springs, so he did it to the old ones, thats a choice I have now, or get new ones because the leaf springs are flat..

you can have them rearched.. but not for that much of an increased lfit.. also they have a tendancy to sag alot quicker then new springs. Also it messes up your distances. the shackle sits in closer then it should at standstill and could end up binding or breaking the spring if the shackle was to reverse itself on a bad flex.

Its realy worh the extra cash to get new springs instead of having to get your old ones rearched every year or so.
