I'm gonna go with tires and rims like I said in my Pro comp post, but I've got a question about Spacer lifts.

Guy down the block has a 2002 TJ. Started with a 2" skyjacker spacer lift, had it in about 3 months, but just took it out and had a local shop do a 6" suspension lift. Said he'd give me the 2" spacer kit, I know they work, but what else do I need.

I'm getting:
2" Skyjacker spacers, front and rears.
4 Hydro shocks.
Bump stop extenders.

Do I need to drop the transfer case? Would that decrease vibes?
What about pitman arm and conrtol arms and the length relationship?

Mine's a soft top SE with no air, 4 cyllie........

The guy said with the Factory springs it'll be fine, no other goodies needed, but I'm not sure. I had asked Uel. alot of this in a PM, but lost it somewhere.

That should be all you need. If you have driveline vibes, you can add washers (1/2" to 1") between the frame and t-case skid. Usualy there is not a problem with driveline vibes with a 2" BB, especialy with a D-35 rear.

Thanks Blu:

What about brake lines? I'might hop over the guys offer of the freebie, since I looked at it last night {one of the shocks is leaking} and buy the Rubicon express spacer kit w/ shocks, found it real cheap locally--$175.00
Thanx

you should be alright with what the kit comes with (spacers, shocks, and bump stop extensions). New brake lines are not needed. TJ's are usually pretty forgiving with lifts <3". The only other thing you may want to look into is getting some quick disconnects for your front swaybar if you plan on going off road often. I just use an 18 mm wrench and T-55 to remove the bolts, but I don't disconnect very often, so it is not high on my priority list right now. With only 3 months on the shocks, I would look and see if you can get a free replacement if you still get it from him. Just remember, the spacers and extensions cant wear out, so if you get a good price and get the leaking shock fixed, it could work out great for you.

Thanx again Blu:

I'd be getting it for free, [just gonna do him a fav. and reload some .38 ammo for him] so I'll call Skyjacker and see if I can finagel a new shock out of the deal!

Free! Don't get much better than that.
