well my dad got an ad for camp jeep 2003 in VA, and he was reading it and wants to go next year(were not ready this year)

he just told me today that he is going to help me a little bit to get my jeep in tip top shape over the next year...i.e. paint and looks(bumpers, tops, any other accessories) and he is going to help me with the welding part of working on the suspension like the teraflex front shock hoops and axle flip stuff...he wants me to get my jeep in good looking and running condition for next years camp jeep... we are going to trailer my jeep down there with his cherokee and then show it off :D

i am going to try and talk him into doing a little lift on his cherokee (4in or so...not spacers or anything, i dont like those lifts, they seem "fake" to me, just like shackle and body lifts...hey look at that i have both  unfortunately)

i will be so happy if he lets me lift his jeep with his money so i wont be the only one in the family with one :D

well i just figured i'd tell you guys since i am so excited about camp jeep next year, i wanna tear up the terrain that they have...if its even that bad, i've heard stories either way :\

BTW: if anyone has even been to camp jeep hook me up w/ some facts:

like what goes on
what are the trails like
what kind of rigs are usually there, heavily modified or just your average?
(i wanna be ready for em :rock )

well anyway i cant wait...in the next month or 2 i should be able to order my front tera-flex suspension parts(revolvers, shock hoops, shocks, z boxes[maybee] )

ok well i am going to stop talking now, i am on my ADD medicine so i am hyped...i should be reading for my english class but i got distracted :x ...it at least helps me focus on one thing...jeeps :D

my dad is paying for anything that is nessary, like if the alternator goes (already did, and he bought it) everything else is my responsability, except for the body paint job, hes helping me out with that (Im thinking of finaly painting the bumpers tomorrow)

my dad wont be helping me in huge amounts financially, but he will give me 40 bucks here 100 bucks there if he likes the idea or the part that i want to get...the biggest accomplishment for me was to get him to stop telling me to try and sell my jeep and get another one and start on a clean slate...but that would just be too easy, i am almost done repairing all the parts that i messed up when i was dragging my jeep(i have tranny and rear axle to fix still) i will be buying the tranny this week or next week... my rear axle R&P is loose, i am going to run that axle to the ground while i build a set of dana 44's with either 4.56 or 4.88 gears and OX Locker(at least in rear) and maybee a lockright or some type of automatic locker up front...not 100% sure of plans right now, i will just kinda play it as it goes...there so many little things that like to pop up with me jeep.

I know on the jeep jamboree (forgive me if this is not the same event) website off the official Jeep www.Jeep.com website they have some links to what they call the journal or experiences pages. This is actual people telling how things went. Some other folks in here might have first hand experience with the camp that they can share with you also.

I have been at camp jeep for the last three years.......it is a great experience.....the trail rides are fun as they let anyone with a jeep go on what ever rated trail they want....I have been on the difficult trauls at camp jeep with stock grand cherokees....which had lots of trouble and dragging....and many winch helps from the guides..there are all types of jeeps out there.....most of the highly modifieds are the trail guides, but not all...anyway you will have a great time...we will be there this year and surely next year also, unless our time is up......last year it was in Branson, Mo. but trhis year they brought the eastern one back to Va. and have added a west coast one also......don't know what they will do next year....I am sure it will depend on how this year goes........ :USA:

i went to the jeep site and i definately want to go... i need to get my jeep ready :) my dad said he is going to buy a trailer and trailer my jeep whereever it is and just leave his and the trailer at the hotel we stay at.

as far as the trail rides go...if you have a modified rig(like mine) that has good articulation and power...in your opinion...are any of the trails unconquerable without a winch?

thats kind of a bad question but hey...take a shot at it :D

i cant wait until camp jeep 04!!!!!!!
