New to the Forum

I'm new to the forum and thought I'd drop a line. Great site. I'm in the middle of restoring my '57 Willy's CJ3B. The frame is completely stripped and should be painted this week or next with POR-15, then I can start reassembling. I bought the 3B three years ago from the son of the original owner- the father had passed away earlier on the year and the son wasn't into Jeeps (fool!). I drove it for two years but decided to tear it apart last Fall and rebuild. It currently has 28K original miles but rust was an issue. I have a new tub, fenders and windshield from Willy's Overland ready to go, plus the original grille and hood. Everything has been painted '73 Corvette Yellow. I also have a 2.5" Superlift kit along with 32" tires on AR 15x8 wheels. I hope to have things wrapped-up within a couple months. I promised the original owner's wife, who's in her 70s, that I would bring the 3B back to show her when it's done. I had to promise I would take care of it in order for her to bless the sale.

I think my 3B is actually a '61 but I refer it as a '57 in deferrence to the original owner.
