I ordered Posi-Lok last night ( 12/19). When should I expect it to come in? Do Fed-Ex/UPS ship during Christmas week? Just want a general idea. Thanks!

Ok, thanks. I figured they'd be pretty busy due to Christmas and all. I did normal shipping, Im in no rush for another knuckle busting project. ;)

Sounds good. I need to start soaking the bolts in penitrating oil. Ever have bolt heads snap off in your hand? Talke about a PITA!!!!!

I've always found that snapping the bolt head off was the easy part :D It's drilling the rest of it out that sucks :x

Hehe. Heres what happend to one of my many snapped bolts.
Putting tow hooks on the front of my 87 YJ. one frame cover bolt head snaps off. Grr. Whip out the easy-out, drill it, and insert easy out. Bam! easy out breaks. Cant drill through harded steel. Hmmm. I drilled about 4 holes around the broken easy out and tapped the center through, and re-tapped it one size bigger. Did the same for the rest of the three so that they are now even. Putting tow hooks on the front took over two hours. Sheesh. :x

LeadFoot, I think all real Jeepers have a little "MacGyver" in 'em :D Most of us have learned the hard way (broken header bolts come to mind :x ) I've learned to keep a can of anti-seize compound handy when putting threaded parts together :g

Tell me about it. Penitrating oil, never seize, and white lithum grease are my best friends. I practicaly have grease on every bolt I took off, aside from the lug nuts (duh)

I hear ya on that one. If you've never had one snap then your not drinking enough or is it working hard enough I can't remember I've been drinking too much. :D

No it's not that at all. I just don't think things like that should be discussed in the "open". Gotta respect the privacy thing ;)

It'll be nice to have a Jeep with 4wd again. When I did snow wheeling in 2wd, I got stuck like 25 times. LOL. Plus these crappy 28" ATs arent too hot, considering they are almost bald. I need some new meats!! 8)
