Don't you just hate having to spend money on ur Jeep that u don't want to spend! I have like 3 major leaks and they are really pissing me off. My transfer case is leaking tranny fluid $300+ I am leaking coolant from god knows where (appointment monday to figure it out) I am leaking oil from my rear main seals $900+ and I am leaking oil from my valve cover. It bites, I want to make my Jeep better with stuff I want to buy, but I guess I am going to have to take care of these more important things first. Ill probably get them all fixed accept for the rear main, I will worry about that when I get my engine rebuilt at 200,000 miles. I hate having to wait to buy stuff I want to buy for this crap!

I know what you mean, on top of modifications, you gotta take care of problems that arise from a vehicle that's already being dragged under by the maintenance demons.

I had a Silverado that I had to give up on modifying and just completely sell because the regular maintenance was out-pacing the suspension mods and roll cage I was building. I just finished the mods and sold the whole thing outright, after dropping the number eight rod through the oil pan (at 65 mph... ouch). I switched up to something that's not gonna give me headaches like that again. I just barely broke even on what I bought the truck for, but not the mods. Someone got a deal, I got rid of my headache though. :D

MIne is still pretty new and is under the factory warranty right now so the insurance is a painfull thing to keep coming up with when I would rather spend it on parts for mods and what not.

in short 29 here on the 3rd stone from the sun, my old man taught me to do a few things & one thing he told me was that if a man had more time than money that he might have to do things he didn't want to do sometimes.
Just a little backwoods euphamism, not intended to offend you WhtXJ32-er guy, but if I were you I'd buy myself a Hanyes repair manual & give the t-case thing a try or @ least the valve cover leak,

You'd be surprised what you can do w/ a set of tools & a little time,
just my $0.02
