EGR failure

I'm on my 4th EGR valve now in my CRD. The tech. said that the after market high flow exhaust is causing the EGR to fail because the EGR needs the backpressure to work right.:lmao:

That is technical for I replaced the part without doing the proper test. Most EGRs will not function on newer model vehicles without some backpressure. But this is usually only true to japanese imports not domestics. You would have to have some extremely free flowing pipes to lose that much back pressure. Sounds like they aren't sure whats causing it and are using your exhaust as an excuse.

Sounds like good advice. Believe I'd be changing shops for a second opinion.
