Just got one today, till it started to rain. :drowning:
It was the only one I could get today. This is the one my wife and I got almost a week ago.
I will get more when and if I can with the rain we get in Erie.

Thanks, I wanted to see how the top sat in the back, looks like they get it to fold down pretty nicely... cool.
Those need 32's or bigger not to look so goofy.

The new JK Rubicons come stock with 32" BFG m/t tires. I wonder if that means my JK Sahara Unlimited will run 32s without any lift....? Anyone know? Wonder what that would do to my acceleration speed... I think I'd also like to switch out my 17" wheels for 15s, but it looks like I'm going to need some sort of adapter for this new 5×5 bolt pattern....
Anybody got the low down on all this? I LOVE my new JK!!!
(BTW, 1st post :9: )

First, Welcome to the 4wd.com forums. Second, from what I can find all JK's can wear 32's with no lift. It would only take 2.5 to 3" to get 35's under them. I know that 2k2wranglerx put 265 75R16's on his new JK and it runs just fine with no change in acceleration or mileage. As far as the wheels, I think you need the 16's due to brake clearance, but I am not sure. You would need to find some 15's with the 5 on 5 to find out, but I am not sure if they would fit or interfere.

But this past week I delved 3!
All 4x4x4 Two Sahara One Order one as it was coming off the transport.
and I sold an "X" 4x4x4.
I'm stunned at how easy it has been to sell them so far.
I'm now up two 24 Orders in the system I took two more orders today.
So far I have only taken an order for one 2x4x4.
And I've also have 3 2 Door Rubicon Orders in the system.
If this could keep up for about a year it would be so nice!
Who knows if this keeps up I might be able to afford my own.

Scrambler013, thanks for the welcome and the answers. I'm not in the market for a lift just yet, so 32's will be great. Good to know I won't have any rubbing or accel loss-- I'd love to hear more from 2k2wranglerx. I do like the look of a smaller wheel with the bigger tires (and the price of tires for 15's)-- but so far, I'm not totally in to my options....
What are your thoughts on these (http://www.spidertrax.com/s.nl/it.A/id.1249/.f)? They give me more wheel options, but I don't think I want the spacing.
(Am I drifting too OT? Let me know if I should start a new topic...)

Very nice! The tires look great-- you gave them a nice workout. Are there any cons I should know about running larger tires on the 4-door JK?
Thanks a lot for posting the pics. Good motivation...

My Sahara has 18's and they measure almost a 33 from the dealer. I am looking at going with the Tera 4" once the let it out of the bag (after Sema) . Right now I can't even pry a guesswork price from them.
Here is my JK and what it replaced

2k2wranglerX, I got to hand it to you for "breakin' it in!" Wheel it hard while its still under warranty sounds like a good idea to me. Kinda like when I was into autocrossing and we used to run my buddies Renault Alliance company car. It was amazing how competitive you could be when you really didn't care about over-reving the engine! After running it really hard, it was nice to be able to take it into the dealer to get checked out for that strange noise coming from under the hood. As far as taking the flares off, I looked at an 07 up close last night and they don't look like they come off that easily. Sure they can come off, but so can anything else. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like something you could do in say 5-10 min. I'm with the others, I would like to see what it looks like with them off though.

4wd Hardware already has several lifts for the JK.
http://www.4wd.com/search.aspx?q=jk%20lift
...and a 3" lift allows for 35" tires!!!

35" tirs on 3inches of lift...DONT HIT A BUMP.
No way on that one, pictures above in this post don't have the clearance in the rear to put 35's on a 3 inch lift. Front I guess you could do the mythical removal of the flares.

Hey, I just posted up from the description on the Lift kits. Don't believe me, read it yourself!

well here's 33's with no lift.
i'm thinking about doing a leveling kit int he front and running 33's
or a 2.5" front 2" rear and 35's.

So is there a debate on the JK not having as much articulation as a TJ? That spacing above the 33's and stock pushed out onto 35's and 2.5in lift I know wouldn't work on my TJ. You'd be rubbing all day.
But definitely a debate topic on the JK being better than a TJ. Being able to fit 35's on 2.5 inches as opposed to 6 inches has to be a good thing.

I was on the ride with y2k, and his JK did awesome, I can't wait to see it with a lift and new tires. He definately proved that it is a capable heep right off the show room floor. The Rubis ought to be sick. It's going to be wild to see what shows up from Sema this year. THe JK forums have some awesome pics already.. I saw the RE has a long arm kit on one already too. In fact there is one in the same color as y2k's all lifted with bumpers and sliders it looks ultra sweet.

I'm running a JK Rubicon Unlimited with the stock BFG M/T tires. They are noisier that the street treads on the Sahara and X, and they wander just a bit. I really can't compare acceleration, but I certainly think its adequate. It's taken me some time to learn how to drive this (I commute about 70 miles to work roundtrip), but I find that it will pull quite well in fifth & sixth anywhere from about 1300 rpm & up. The engine sounds like it's working hard much above 3500 rpm. I guess I need a boomer exhaust to cover up the squirrels up front. After over two months at the wheel, I have to say I love my JK too! And still, I've seen only two (2!) on the street in all that time.
