Might as well get a place setup for any questions regarding the up and coming M/G. I will go ahead and ask some questions I have or that I know will probably be asked and we can use this post to serve as a focal point for questions.

1. Where is the M/G going to be held?
2. What type of facilities are available (restrooms/camping)?
3. What would be the nearest coty with lodging (for those not up to roughing it)?
4. What type of terrain will we be wheeling on?
5. Are there any vehicle equipment requirements (lockers/winches/tire size)?
6. Is there a recommended equipment list (first aid kit/CB/tow straps, etc)?
7. Alcohol rules (might as well ask this one now)
8. What is the tenative itenerary?
9. In addition to the question #1 does this area have a website for further details?

If you have any other questions, just add a thread and we will try to keep this orderly and everyone informed.

Great Idea Matt:

Here are a few.
1. The proximity to the nearest hospital....accidents do and will happen....but I sure hope not!
2. Showers??? I know Magoo has spoken of portable lavs...
3. Matt's excellent point of alcohol????
4. Generic directions from US route 80.
5. sign in times or point of origin to meet.
6. closest "neighbors". We do not want to come across as a bunch of rowdies- up all night with no regard or RESPECT for the locals. Not good for 4wd hardware or the "campers"....
7. proximity of grub for those who do not wish to cook
8. Is Magoo buying the first round?
9. Will Jdogg4 make it?

Though I kid 'bout the last two, the rest are 'kinda important.

We all knew this was comin so I'll go ahead and ask....

1. Can I bring the Sawzall? :rock

2. How far is the nearest fuel stop. (gas don't grow on trees, but it does seem to "pop up" around the camp fire) ;)

3. Do we get a discount on any parts we brake? :D

4. Is there a potable water source near by??

5. Whats the name of the place and is there a map or pictures we could see as far as terain and such goes.

6. Will there be things there for kids to do (family oriented stuff).

7. Shouldn't we make sure everyone knows spouces/significant others/friends and such are always welcome. :D

8. What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow.

9. Are campfires allowed???? (very important, might want to check with the forrestry service on this one)

10. can we have a list posted somehwere that shows who has turned in their forum(the @%#@pdf thing) so we too can get an idea of what to expect.

WOOHOOO!!!!!!! Its gettin closer to that time.....

OMG guys!!! Nothing like 20 questions right off the bat. So here goes...

1. Where is the M/G going to be held? Wellsville, OH

2. What type of facilities are available (restrooms/camping)? I am renting porta johns and we are camping on Highlandtown Fire Departments Grounds

3. What would be the nearest coty with lodging (for those not up to roughing it)? East Liverpool has lodging, so does Lisbon. EL is about 5 minutes from Wellsville, Lisbon is 15. If you need phone #'s for lodging I can post them. In fact, I will post them, just in case

4. What type of terrain will we be wheeling on? All kinds. Rocks, mud, hills, hills with big rocks inthe middle of them, trails through the woods, etc etc....pretty much all of the wheeling pictures I post on here are from there.

5. Are there any vehicle equipment requirements (lockers/winches/tire size)? Yes. It is all printed on the waiver and release form so PLEASE READ IT ALL!!!

6. Is there a recommended equipment list (first aid kit/CB/tow straps, etc)? See anwser to question 5. One thing I forgot is the first aid kit so I would bring one of those if you want.

7. Alcohol rules (might as well ask this one now) Alcohol is permitted at the campsite but NOT on the trails. There's a no brainer. Also bring garbage bags with you for your trash while you are on the trails. I am also renting a dumpster to have on the campsite.

8. What is the tenative itenerary? Get to 4WDH anytime on Friday. Wheel possibly Friday night, depending on when everyone gets there. Whenever we wake up Saturday and get our $hit together, we'll wheel pretty much all day Saturday too...unless people break stuff...then they can fix their jeep or watch us :)

9. In addition to the question #1 does this area have a website for further details? nope

Matt

Ok I think I answered all of those...moving on to the next set...

1. The proximity to the nearest hospital....accidents do and will happen....but I sure hope not! 5 minutes. East Liverpool has a hospital.

2. Showers??? I know Magoo has spoken of portable lavs... Showers??? What are those? Chris, we're going to be camping!!! If I can go all weekend in the woods with boys, mind you, you can too!

3. Matt's excellent point of alcohol???? See my answer to Matt's question.

4. Generic directions from US route 80. You are going to want to take Route 80W to Route 11S to the Columbiana (Route14/46) exit. When you get off this exit, make a left onto Route 46. You will go approx. 5 miles (maybe not that far) until you see Route 14. Make a left at the light and 4WDH will be about 2-5 miles down the road on the left hand side. Our address is 44488 State Route 14, Columbiana, OH 44408

5. sign in times or point of origin to meet. I mentioned this above too. What I want to do is have you guys show up whenever. Take those that get there early to the campsite and you guys can start setting up while the others arrive. Mlyle88yj is going to play a big part in helping me and he's also going to be one of the trail guides.

6. closest "neighbors". We do not want to come across as a bunch of rowdies- up all night with no regard or RESPECT for the locals. Not good for 4wd hardware or the "campers".... Nothing that I am aware of but I will have to ask mlyle88yj to confirm this.

7. proximity of grub for those who do not wish to cook? There is a McDonalds and a Dairy Queen right in Wellsville. Along with a few sit down resturants. In the next town up, there are a lot more fast food choices, as well as a Wal Mart and grocery stores.

8. Is Magoo buying the first round? Did I forget to mention it's BYOB :*

9. Will Jdogg4 make it? Let's hope so...that way he's not posting a bunch of crap while we're all out wheeling ;) j/k jdogg

Though I kid 'bout the last two, the rest are 'kinda important.
Chris~

Ok...next victum

1. Can I bring the Sawzall? I'm gonna have to say no on this...unless you think YOU will need it. Stay away from my jeep with that thing :D

2. How far is the nearest fuel stop. (gas don't grow on trees, but it does seem to "pop up" around the camp fire) ;) Gas stations right in Wellsville. We can fuel up before and after or during if we need to.

3. Do we get a discount on any parts we brake? :D Yes. Amount is still to be determined, but I am pushing for at least 10% off or more. Plus I am also looking into having a parts runner if we need them.

4. Is there a potable water source near by?? Not sure but will also check on this one

5. What's the name of the place and is there a map or pictures we could see as far as terain and such goes. See my above responses. I can put all of the pictures I have ever taken from there on a dummy web page so you can all see them...How does that sound?

6. Will there be things there for kids to do (family oriented stuff). Yeah ride with them when they are wheeling. lol...Actually, the Ohio River is right by this place, they could go fishing if they want. Not too family oriented of a place though, sorry.

7. Shouldn't we make sure everyone knows spouces/significant others/friends and such are always welcome. :D Yes Mike, you can bring your girlfriend. Why wouldn't they know that? The more the merrier.

8. What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow. Nice trick question.

9. Are campfires allowed???? (very important, might want to check with the forrestry service on this one) um..yeah.

10. can we have a list posted somehwere that shows who has turned in their forum(the @%#@pdf thing) so we too can get an idea of what to expect. Yeah when I start getting them in, I'll post so you guys know they made it back to me ok.

Ok so thanks for making me feel like I was being attacked by questions (I'm teasing). Anyways, this was a good idea. Anymore questions, post them here or pm myself or mlyle88yj. It is very important that you read the waiver and release form VERY carefully. It will tell you some things about what is required and such.

Now...I'm going to give my fingers a break :D I think that's the most typing I've done all day :P

Everyone read the waiver (yeah I know its big but I have dial up and I suffered through the download so you can too) and then read up above. We want to try to keep the same question from being asked a hundred times. But if you do have a question... please feel free to ask away.

You said the Ohio River is there. Does Ohio offer 3 day fishing licences and what's the fee????
Ueland made a good point about fuel.
