Hi All,
There are several threads on the board about the same thing, so I am going to use this post to explain things and let's try to keep all bug reports and whatnot to this one thread, cause it's starting to get confusing with 5 different threads about the same thing.

Our board, just the board not the rest of the site, got hacked on Friday. Whoever hacked us knew what they were doing. It wasn't just us. It was pretty much anyone that had a decent size PHP board. PHP itself got hacked as well. We lost everything...threads, posts, users that had signed up after June 2003. if you notice you can not log in, try this:

1. Clear your cookies.

2. Activate your account by checking your email for account validation email.

3. Log out and back in.

That should take care of it. The other things you all have PMd me about I will get back to you shortly.

The new software is VBulletin. It is a newer version than the one Jeeps Unlimited uses. The manual to this software, when printed out stands about 3" high on my desk. I am reading and learning about this new software just like all of you. Please just bear with me. I will PM and email those of you back as quickly as possible.

Those of you who have emailed or PMd me telling me you can't log in, please try again and let me know. I made some permission changes and want to see if that fixed it. Thank you!

Ok I also cleaned up the board and deleted the old accounts prior to this new board that had zero post counts. It definitely hurt out member count...but at least now its honest LOL. Starting from scratch. :circle:

wow! this has been a tough row to hoe!
i recreated my account twice, but things seem to be ok now.

from the error messages i was getting you guys not only got hacked, but had a denial-of-service (dos) attack as well.

kinda wish i hadn't been demoted from "wheeling warrior" status, but i'll live.
kel, you're doin' a great job.
i know this is frustrating, but hang in there, this'll all work out.

you should get a medal for getting through this!

I want to add a pic to my signature but it says "[img] off" and only shows the URL, not the pic. Slap me for being so ignorant as to not being able to find this myself. Thanks for your help.

Ok I made some changes to the board that go along with the errors and suggestions you all have been telling me.

Everyone should be ok now to post and whatnot. If you are a new registered user, you will have to click on your activation email before you are considered active to post.

We are now able to post more than one smilie to a thread :bighug: :2: :newangel: :lildevil: If you see duplicate smilies in the master list, please PM me which one it is and I'll take care of it.

We are now able to add more than one picture to your posts as well.

Did anyone else notice there is a calendar on this board as well :happydanc

If you see anything else, let me know.

Yeah I saw the calendar. I also checked my Birthday to see if it was listed. Now that everyone knows my Bday. I should get about 906 gifts from all you members...hehehehe If you need to know what I want just go HERE (http://www.4wd.com) It is self explanitory. :happydanc
