I have a chance to buy a soft top for a 95 wrangler. Mine is a 1987 wrangler. My question is will it fit mine.

Not 100% sure, but it should. Just check to see what hardware it has and what you have. Some aftermarker tops use different hardware than the factory, and it would not work.

I agree with Blupupher, check the hardware. Your '87 is the exact same Jeep as the '95 except for the lack of the extended 'sport bar'. Check bolt patterns and the method of which it mounts to the windshield channel.
Can any of you YJ owners out there, with a soft-top, tell us if the soft-top on a 92 - 95 YJ uses the extended sport bar to support the soft-top, or can the 92-95 soft top be used on a '86.5 - '91 w/o the extended sport bar?
You're obviously not going through a mail-order dealer. See if they'll let you try it on first, that is, if you don't mind being topless in public :*

I have a 95 and the factory soft top used an independent bow assy to hold the top up. It didn't connect to the extended sport bar. Right now I have a Bestop Supertop on and I would think that it works on all YJ's. My best guess would be that it will work.

With hardware it should fit just fine.
