I love the Rescue Green! I was talking with a salesman at the dealership the other day, he said people either love it or hate it (obviously), but more people hate it. He said he hears constant remarks about how horrible it is; cat puke, baby $hit, you get the picture. I will say this much, you couldn't get away with it on anything but a Wrangler.

Dunbar is on his 3rd set of tires already. He is probably due for a new Jeep since its probably oil change time!!

I was kind of surprised when they came out with Rescue Green, because it looks a lot like my 97's Citron Pearl Coat and I don't hear a lot of good things about it. Worst case, people say "it's ugly", best case, they say it's "unique". "Unique" to them is probably the polite way of saying "ugly", but to me I honestly like the fact that I almost never see one like it. It's the only thing that has kept me from repainting it.

See I'm doubly screwed on this post. Not only do I like the Rescue Green, I would love to own a JK 4dr. With 3 big kids and all the extras that come with offroading, I would totally love the extra doors and space, and extra wheelbase is a plus too. Looks still growing on me but with Bushwacker flares I'm sold. I'm actually surprised Rescue green is not selling, in an age of people wanting to be special and seen as sophisticated colors like Rescue Green would hit a spot. Just have to win the powerball before March 17th to get mine on special order I guess.

I am right there with you. I almost got the green but by the time I called the dealership that had it, they had sold it. So I have a white one, but I still love it. Guess I am gonna have to hit the lotto too so I can get that green one. :17:

On February 7, we notified you that Rescue Green was being replaced by
Detonator Yellow on Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited. However, based on
feedback from many of you, we have decided to keep Rescue Green, still introduce Detonator Yellow in May, and instead drop Light Graystone.
Production of Light Graystone is scheduled to end in mid April 2007 with
final orders due by March 14, 2007. Please review your inventory needs
and plan accordingly.

I'm with you too, that gray was non impressive. And though I hate yellow, A wrangler is the only vehicle next to maybe a Ferrari that I actually like it.
Great to hear the Green is staying, might be able to arm wrestle my wife into trading in her Evergreen - Green Jeep in for Rescue Green.

The rescue green only works on a Wrangler...but I like it. I like it a lot. I'm glad they are keeping it. If I get a JK one day maybe I will be able to get a rescue green one.

Detonator Yellow is a Mopar color....Its what they put on the Charger.

That would be kinda cool to win the Lotto and get the same color Wrangler for me and Charger for the Wife....Oh, Yeah and a Commander to match to haul the kids around.

Actually, I'd like to paint my XJ Rescue Green someday. I mean, HELLO? Where did they get that color from? The Jeep Rescue concept. What does it remind me of? An XJ and a JK on steroids. LOL :17:

I agree with you just got my RESCUE GREEN RUBICON it may not be for everyone , but then neither are jeeps , just us choosen few. The thing I really like about the green on my jeep is when they sun hits it there are definite hues of gold.... I looked over all the colors very closely before ordering my Rubicon and I wanted somthing that was different than the run of the mill colors this green fits just right.....

really? I just bought a 07 Wrangler X in Rescue Green a few weeks ago! Are they discontinuing it?I actually like the color.But then again I am somewhat color blind!!!

We looked at two Rescue Green Saharas when shopping around until we found the Graystone with Freedom top that we purchased. The Graystone contrasts with the black bumpers, fenders, roof, etc., and appears different shades depending on lighting conditions. We've gotten a lot of compliments on it. My wife says if we had money to spare, she'd get another JK Unlimited in Rescue Green.
