Hope someone can help!! I have a 95 YJ stock except for a 3 1/2" Superlift suspension lift modest M/T wheels with 31" All terrain T/A's. Problem is when I hit the brakes I get a knock from what sounds like the rear. I've pulled the diff. covers and reserviced everything no problems noted. Tightend all suspension parts checked brakes, u-joints, everything still cant find source. It only happens when I use regular brakes if I slow to a stop using the emergency brakes nothing. The knock is consistant with wheel spin as I slow down so does the knock. Any help would be great!!!

That's a tuffy. Does it come from the left or the right?

Well, The only things I could think of you have checked. Maybe a bad bushing in the suspension that would not be fixed just by tightening.
Also, jack up the rear and just start shaking stuff.
Maybe it is something in the front, just sounds like from the rear.
What speed does it start/ stop at?

Is it a relativly slow knock like it's in tune with tire rotation, or faster like it's associated with axel rotation?
I guess you could start with isolation there.
Too bad the guy died in the process, that won the Darwin award for riding under the vehicle to listen for the niose
I'm quite sure he wouldn't have charged much for the service, say, a 12pac? :D
