Still looking??? I have a Carter YF off of a '78 with the 232. It's buried pretty deep in the garage, but is rebuildable. Let me know if you're interested.

Yes - I'd be interested if it is a 7083S - I tried a 7085X and I had to change a couple things. Still not right and 10 MPG is killing me - my 8 cylinder did much better!

You can get away with using a 2 bbl but you have too use the whole thing.
Carter changed little things over the years so if you take several and make one you will most likely have a mess. I know I tried.
If I remember right you have the 2bbl intake.

I'll check the #'s this week and let you know if it's a match.

Didn't work to good swapping parts. The throttle arm was different and the newer one had an different EGR port, etc.
It was pretty simple to rebuild but it didn't improve the way it runs or the gas mileage.
Motor with 55000 original miles should get more than 10 MPG - shouldn't it ???

I had the same problem when I basterdized a few carbs to make one.
I got only 8-10 mpg with mine.

Sounds good but I need a single barrel. I've got a 2 bbl. manifold and I'm putting a Motorcraft 2100 project together. Thanks anyway.
