It was finally nice out and I got out or work at a reasonable hour so I thought it would be nice to take some pics of my YJ. I think the owner of me really beat the living hell out of it and what sucks is that I have to fix his screw ups. Oh well, that's what makes these projects fun! Enjoy:

No, I boubht it for $1600 not too shabby of a deal it runs pretty decent. Yes, I do have a shackle lift but I think it's only like 1-1.5" not the 2.5" I thought stated in my signature. I will have to change it as soon as I am sure. I have a soft top for it (Bestop Supertop Grey), I just have to wait until it's warmer out to install it. I also have the Weber carb which I will be installing with some help next weekend so that should keep me running very well. The body is kind of beat up, not really rusted just dented but I guess that's what Jeeps are for. Thanks for the compliments so far guys...

Definately looking at doing the flat flare mod. That would save me a lot of money compared to trying to replace the dented/rusted panel/flare on the driver's side. I think it would also look great and give me the proper room for some nice 33's

Sandy, those look like around 1" or 1.5" shackles. I would change them when you get you lift. Did you notice how one is kicked back in the front? You need some new springs chick. Thats OK I'll take care of ya!

those shackles give you 2" of lift i have them on my jeep they are fine.. i even used them with 3.5" spring lift and have had no problems in like 5 years... they do give orginal springs a stress though.. sort of flattens them out some more, like stock springs arent already flat enough.... oh is that your horn in the picture?

That ting is in great shape. Just perfect for doing what you need to do to have fun with it. If it was pristine you wouldn't enjoy wheeling with it as much because you would be worried about denting it. Not a bad price for it either. But I would get better springs for it. They are really running flat. It is gonna look good when you mod the fenders, and add the lift.

Yea, that is my horn in the one picture, too bad it doesn't work.

Oh no, it is not a bad deal at all it just sucks that the guy dinged it up and ruined certain things on the Jeep without fixing them. He just played with it and sold it like that. I mean body wise yea, I am not going to care if I hit a snow mount or plow into a mud pile. I will enjoy it once I get the lift and little cosmetic things I want.

Indeed it does. Under the hood looks pretty good, and that's what's really important. Isnit fun to get a new project and have to start by undoing all the P/O's screwups? That's part of the adventure, I think.
