So is the Dana 35 now totally discontinued?? Are ALL Wranglers now equipped with Dana 44 in the rear??

Yes, only a 44 in the rear now(and an upgraded one at that).

So that started with the late 2007 models I guess. That's awesome. I personally have never seen a single problem with a D35...but knowing that there will only be D44s from now on is even better!

Not late 2007, all JK's have a 44 rear.

Are you sure? Because when the JK first came out last year, the standard axle was the "next generation" Dana 35. And the Dana 44 was only an option with the towing package, or Sahara/Rubicon.

"Next Gen. Dana 35 Solid Rear Axle" is still the base axle for 2 door X & Sahara Model JKs

Ahh, that is where I messed up. I have only looked at the specs for the 4 door.

I just read the 08's will have D35, and 4:10's wont be option for X and sahara's.
