View Full Version : Which lift kit and tires?
I own an '07 Wrangler X. I recently had it out at the 4WDH M & G and had a good time with it in stock form. I am looking at a lift kit and tires and am open to suggestions.I am not looking to go to extreme or anything as this is my daily driver also and I am on a tight budget.Any help would be appreciated!!!:imwitst: :damnmate: :stuckthu:

Maybe go with a 2" lift so you don't have to change alot of other stuff. Then maybe you could clear 31" tires. Just talk to someone at 4WD, tell them what you want, and your budget limit. That's what we did for the lift and stuff on our XJ. Called them up, told Tim what we wanted, and told him our budget. Tim and Adam hooked us up real nice! We are very pleased with how it turned out.
We looked in a 4WD catalog, the Summer 2007 one. There are a couple 2 inch budget boosts that say you will clear 33' tires. A Rubicon Express, a Full Traction, and a couple others. If you have this catalog, they're on page 83. Or check their web site. Hope this helps ya out!

if you decide you want a 3", you can clear 35's and wheel. But I'll warn you with a 2 door your pinion angles going to be extremely steep.
Your driveshaft will fail, its just a matter of time. It took me about 7,000 miles until it exploded.(I'm running the 3" fulltraction ultimate Kit, with 35" Procomp Xtreme MT's) You can always up grade the shafts but it's about $1,000 for aftermarket U-joint style.
If you just wanna wheel once a month, get a budget boost and clear 33's. that way you wont need to worry about driveshafts and messing up your warranty.

Agreed, you can clear 33"s no problem with a 2" lift.
thanks for the help.I was actually looking at the 2" lifts in the 4WD catalog.I just wasn't sure if that was the way to go or not.
