FYI - your first link does not work. It says this: Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.

Those look pretty BA. Definitely looks better than the stock fender flares.

Those things give the JK a whole different attitude. Awesome!

I guess the only reason that I don't like em, is because the factory plastic ones are designed to tear away and help prevent additional sheet metal damage on the hood, body, and rest of the fender. Those, being steel, would just pass the damage on. But don't get me wrong, they do look really good.
Just my 2 cents,

I like them better than the factory ones. No argument with you on that one. I like the look better too, just wondering how easy they are to remove for trails. Since they do take some of the functionality of the factory style flares away.

my factory flares damaged the body. They didnt tear away like everyone says they would. the factory ones are falling off and look like ****.

Soon as 4wd gets these in, I'm getting a set!

Well, like they say, don't believe everything you read! lol. Good to know that the idea was there, but that in reality it doesn't work how it should. Guess I will have to keep a closer eye on them on the trails. And on a good side note, the wife really likes the look of the rears on these. With Piginajeep's info, I'm half way to convincing her that my JK needs these.:raiseroo: Well, now that I know that the "tear away fenders" idea isn't so good.

I think I'm in love, definitely the top contender for my JK when I buy it next year. Only concern I have is the front bottom loop of tubing...its almost far enough back that under full compression your going to nail that and loose 2 inches of up travel when offroading.

also on hitting it and destroying your jeep, people should adjust their bumpstops so that they never hit,
