I have a 2002 TJ 4.0L, 2.5" Skyjacker suspension lift, 33x12.50 tires.... My question is----> The Skyjacker lift came with a transfer case lowering kit. I am looking for a little more lift for my car and either am going to put a 1.75" front and rear coil spacer lift or a 1" body lift on. I know if I put the body lift on that i will have to do some body trimming around the shifterfor fourth gear and reverse...Now... If i put the coil spacer lift on or the body lift on will i need to get an extended rear drive shaft, a slip yolk eliminator kit, or a drive shaft angle reduction kit??? I would much rather go for the coil spring lift because of the more pros than the many cons of a body lift. Thanks, -(ChriS)-

I have an 02 TJ with 4 inchs of lift and I dont have a slip yoke eliminator kit . It would be a good idea to have one but you can get by for a little wile. I was undecided on which transfer cases to go with and I want a bigger lift so I didnt want to waste money on drive shafts.

Big Black TJ, you have been diagnosed with Inchitis. The great thing about your situation is that it's not terminal, but treatment for your condition IS VERY EXPENSIVE. You probably won't stop with this next lift, everybody else here that's gone through this phase can see it a mile off.
If you got a body lift, no additional modification would be necessary for your drivetrain. You will be able to clear bigger tires though.
If you are serious about treating your jeep right, go ahead and bite the bullet and get an SYE installed. It'll regulate its' own angle with the driveshaft. I know it's a pain, but it'll solve a lot of future problems.
If you're so inclined to get a new driveshaft, why not look at the extending splined type? They're a little more regular maintenance, but thought I'd spell out more than just one option here.
If it were me, I'd go ahead and have the t-case cracked while I reach for my wallet. Sorry, there just isn't a cheap solution for your problem.

There are not really any disadvantage to a 1" body lift as said above. If you go with the body lift, nothing else will have to be done. It just depends on how big of tires you want to go and your budget.
Also, it's a Jeep, not a car.

So should i go with the 1.25" TeraFlex coil spring lift and forget about the driveshaft angle since i have already lowered the transfer case? And can i put the TeraFlex spacers on the back as well as the front?
