0 being worst and 10 being best...
Front Moab Seats - in "Spice" fabric:
INSTALLATION
Ease of installation: 10
Seats do bolt directly to the factory brackets with ease.
Fit compared to factory: 2
Passengers sit MUCH higher than factory. Visibility is grossly reduced through the windshield and soft door windows. Seat backs cannot be reclined because they hit the factory roll bar unless the seat is adjusted forward.
Rear Safari Seat - in "Spice" fabric:
Ease of installation: 10
The seat bolts directly into the factory location and uses the factory hold down latches - works very well.
Fit compared to factory: 9
Seat dimensions are pretty close to factory and the seat fits well. When tumbled forward it needs to be tied down because it is poorly balanced and will not stay forward on its own. Removes easily also.
QUALITY:
Front Moab Seats - in "Spice" fabric:
Construction: 0
The fabric is stitched well and fits the seat nicely. The frame is weak and the seat back will bend and fatigue right out of the box. On the trail they bounce around like a spring board. The recliner mechanism works okay but could use some tweeking. The elastic on the mesh "map" pocket on the back of the seat looses its elasticity after being in the the elements for about 3 months. The spice colored fabric fades to a pinkish salmon color after about 3 months in the elements also. The "Spice" color on the vinyl is more brown than the Bestop spice color and does not match. The openings for racing harnesses is pretty cool but based on the seat construction in whole I personally would not trust putting harnesses through them.
Comfort: 0
The side bolsters on the seat back are too tight and my back and lumbar does not rest on the seat back. In other words my back is supported on each side by the bolsters. I am 6' 6" tall and 178 lbs so I should fit. After any amount of time in the seats the ribs on my back are sore. I feel like I'm trying to fit into a child's car seat. The side bolsters on the seat are too loose and I feel like my butt is going to slide out. It's like sitting on a bench.
Rear Safari Seat - in "Spice" fabric:
Construction: 5
The fabric is stitched well and fits the seat nicely. The spice colored fabric fades to a pinkish salmon color after about 3 months in the elements also. The "Spice" color on the vinyl is more brown than the Bestop spice color and does not match.
Comfort: 5
The frame seems too small for the seat back. In other words the top 3 inches of the seat is spongy and offers no support. The seat is comfortable but like I said the SEAT BACK is not.
Conclusion:
I am VERY disappointed in these seats. I removed them and re-installed my torn-up Bestop seats. They at least still perform like a seat worth putting in a Jeep. I'm usually not too picky but these seats are by far the "cheapest" product I've ever installed. I am astonished that Corbeau would even put their name on them. Anyway... enough B and M. I personally would steer clear of these seats and stick to any of the Bestop "TrailMax" seats. Bang for your buck I think they're a good buy.
