I just installed an aussie locker in my xj. I've used lockrights for years and never had a single issue with them. Best $$ ever spent. Now for this aussie, it's a little "different" from my previous lockrights. It clunks in reverse on turns (lockright never did this) and clicks a whole lot louder. It's invisible in regular forward driving though.
Based on their website, the aussie is supposed to be the quiestest and smoothest operating auto locker but i don't see it that way. It does exhance the traction and i can't complain about that. I do wish i stayed with a lockright but i'll give this one a chance to prove itself.

Install rating (10-hard 1-easy): 4
Traction: superb
DD Characteristics: loud and clunks in reverse, invisible in forward driving
Price: $180 shipped (used only 1k miles)

If you have an aussie in your 30, pls post up your experience with it. I'm hearing some aren't having any of the issues i am while some are.

Good stuff to know! I didn't know about these...I just figured they were the ARB lockers (Austrailian company). I like what I read on them on the website...and great price too! I may actually be able to afford one! Just gotta find me a good open carrier (I got the tracjunk in mine) for when I do my gears.
