I just got my Rampage Recovery Front Bumper (with stinger) and thought I would give you guys my initial thoughts. First of all the package came very quickly from 4wd and it was packed very securely. The box was 79lbs, this included the bumper and the two D rings. So the bumper weighs about 75 pounds. I took the stock bumper off my 01 wrangler and tried to mount the rampage. Unfortunately I was only able to put the two top bolts on. No matter how I positioned it I couldn't get the two bottom holes to line up, even though the bumper has multiple mounting holes. Maybe this is because my jeep is the 60th anniversary edition and it built is a little different (anyone else have this problem?). Fortunately this looks like it can be fixed with an easy drill into my frame. Other than the above problem I am very pleased with the look and feel of the bumper. When my winch plate comes I will let you know how my warn m8000 installation goes. One side note, the stinger has two light tabs on the top. I wasn't expecting the tabs because it has the integrated light holes and it doesn't mention them in the product description, but I was happy to find them, you can never have too many lights. Just thought I would give a little review since I couldn't find any before I bought it. I will post again when its all finished.

Ben, why don't you call Rampage and see what they have to say about it bolting up. If it was listed for your model all you should have to do is put the bolts in and let it rip.

New bumpers is an item on my "to do" list and the Rampage units are (right now) at the top of my choices. However, for me, the rear bumper/tire carrier is the toughest choice. Has anyone installed the Rampage Recovery rear bumper/tire carrier?

Back to the front bumper: Please update us on your fitment issues as well as your winch install. Thanks for the info!

Sorry it took so long but now that the holidays are over and I'm home I was able to mess with the bumper a little more. I got it to fit on now. Sorry for being mistaken earlier. I am able to get 4 (the 2top and 2bottom) of the six total stock bolts mounted. I had to pull the bumper forward away from the grill about 1+1/2 so it doesn't fit flush up against the plastic jeep logo piece anymore. Four bolts seems like enough to hold the bumper on for most activities, but I'm not sure, and I definitely don't trust it for winching yet. Now that I pulled it forward it dosn't overlap the frame as much as it did before. Now it over laps the frame by only 1+1/2 inches, which doesn't seem as secure. I might move it back and drill holes in the bumper so I can get all 6 bolts to go on and have it over lap the frame more. That not hard at all especially when you consider the added security. What do you guys think? Maybe how it is now is fine for winching. I'm still waiting for my winch plate to come, so when it does I will get to the winch mounting.

you can never have too many bolts, my front winch bumper is held on by 12 bolts (on a cherokee) :) all 1/2" heh
