I purchased and installed the Stainless Steel Disc Brake Conversion for a Model 20 rear axle and thought I'd pass along an installation issue:
I had repositioned my spring pads to rotate the axle housing/pinion for a better driveline angle. When I went to install the kit, the brake calipers contacted the leaf springs. In order to correct this I attempted to contact SSBC to see if some undrilled mounts were available for the calipers so I could "clock" them correctly. Before they responded with a "NO" I had already fabbed up some new ones, clocked to eliminate the interference and had them powdercoated. The project is still in the construction phase, so I can't say how they function just yet, but if you plan on using this product and have rotated your pinion be forewarned that a little fabrication is necessary.

I had the same problem with my 8.8 in the cherokee. I havent clocked the mounts, just through in a lift block to clear it. simple but crappy, get a bit of axlewrap. got any pics of the clocked mount? I gota figure out exactly what im going to do for the mounts. does the kit include a parking brake?

I'll try and get one, but my Jeep is in hiding while I do a little house remodeling. It looks identical to the factory one, only I rotated the holes a few degrees, and its powdercoated red. Doubt the pic would tell you much.
