or whatever they call them. As always, the hosts were spot on with shipping, even though the tonneau was backordered. It arrived a week later than the windjammer. Anyways, the install was the same as the Best Top products, so no suprises there. Quality seems good. Everything was in good shape out of the box. The fit is about the same as the Best Top combo with exception of the Smittybuilt tonneau uses elastic at the rear roll bar where the Best Top does not. Nice improvement if you ask me. So far, I'm happy with the purchase and I'm even happier saving a few bucks for a trail top setup. Time will tell if they hold up and I'll bump the thread after I use them for a while.
Now for the one negative. There's a few snaps that have to be installed on the tonneau to attach it to the windjammer. No big deal except the snaps, that use screws didn't have the same thread in the nuts. Hell, they were a different size AND type of thread. Worthless.:thumbsdo:

That's good to know ...I was thinking about buying another tonneau cover.
I have a best top tonneau,wind jammer,and bikini top.
Maybe I'll try the smittybuilt , My tonneau is comming apart.
Someone need's to come out with u-v protective stitching....the sun eat's them up. and then they start comming apart.
(I wonder if you would get more life out of them by rubbing sun screen on the stitching :dunno:)
Also I wish they made something to prevent water from collecting on the bikini top.
After a rain ...water would collect on the top and sag , and you have to bail it out ...or push from the bottom and get soaked.

What soft top do you have? Bestop? I've tried contacting Smitty about if the tonneau would mount to the bestop's belt rail system but they wouldn't answer.

Don't know if this helps any, but the smitty attaches to the tub the same way a factory soft top does using the rail on the tub.

Ok, after a few weeks and some trail time, it seems the stitching on the tonneau isn't real good. I went to pull the plastic thingy out of the channel on the side of the tub and the stitching came apart. It'll be easy enough to stitch back up, but I'm not terribly impressed with what is already there.

well, i cant say im overly impressed with Smittybilt stuff in general. I have the pocket style fender flares, and they look good, but they are pretty thin in places and Im afraid they are gonna crack pretty easily (especially after a little time in this texas sun). I also have the smitty neoprene seat covers, which looked awesome at first, but now they are purple looking instead of black and i have one hole that mysteriously appeared and is steadily growing. Like ive said here a million times, I dont mind spending hard earned money on my jeep stuff, but I HATE to spend hard earned money on my jeep stuff TWICE. I guess next time im just gonna pony up the extra cash and buy a differnt brand :(
