So last weekend my dad and I replaced the front struts on my mom's 02 Libby. Now, after they have been changed, the front end is knocking horrible. We've double and tripled checked that everything is torqued to spec, and even went to far as to take everything back apart, thinking we might not have put it back together right. Does anyone have any suggestions? Could we have damaged a ball joint, CV joint or rack and pinion in the process? It only makes noises over bumps, no clicking while turning or anything like that. The struts are Rancho RSX.

Are the new struts designed to give you lift struts or are they to stock size? Just curious, because if these lift you any, it opens a whole new can of worms... otherwise...
I'm sorry, I wish I were more mechanical... but I'm the wrenching idiot you don't want working on your vehicle!

They're stock height struts. We're going to pull it apart one last time and check for worn parts again tomorrow. We'll see how it goes.

Post up what you come up with, or if nothing shows up but the problem is still there, lemme know and I'll see what I can come up with.

Upper strut mounts were worn. Replaced them and all is great! :headbang:

OK, now we're talking!
Congratulations (and thanks for the info... 'cause I'm sure it'll happen to me sooner or later).
