The Orange one made the cover of JP apx 6 months back. Or one just like it. From the Jeep Skunk Works Dept. I thought the article stated that it had a V8 Hemi in it though...

The orange one just has a 3.8l, I have drove it. It sounds really good, they took the muffler off and straight piped it, Actually sounds like the 3.8l has power without a muffler.

they look cool but i just cant get past the front fenders/fender flare things...it looks like somebody took a trash can and made fenders for a trailer then stuck em on a jeep...but lose the fender/flares and they look really cool...im a pretty die hard CJ fan so thats about as much of a compliment as i can muster

I read a couple of articles about the J8. It is based on a Mil Spec rig being sold to Eygpt. It can carry 6 toops in the back, has an oil burner under the hood, the rear has leaf springs to carry the extra weight also it has a Dana 60 in the rear. They have made it clear there isn't going to be a civi model of it.

I love this Jeep, kinda like the circle has been completed, from Jeep to HMMWV back to Jeep.

I love the J8 also. There wont be a civil modle of it here in the States cause of the oil burner. Damn shame. Also I here that the US Military is looking for a new all purpose vechicle. They no longer want the Hummer.
