Ordered these last week and got them yesterday. Put them on today to replace my mirrors that had corroded away and broken in the mirror part. I wanted something that i could use while the doors were off. These things looked perfect and at a pretty good price.

The mirrors look exactly like they do in the pictures and are pretty good quality. It should be noted that the passenger side mirror is a standard mirror and does not de-magnify

Mounted them on my jeep and now i hate them. The install went ok very easy install. Installed though the mirrors are too flimsy (the arms themselves) and when the vehicle is on and/or moving, they vibrate badly. Mostly its the drivers side. Just about impossible to see out of, very annoying.

The other thing is that since they are on the windshield frame, when you open the door, the door hits them. I figured this would happen, but if the door hits them somewhat decent the mirrors will move. I know i could fix the straps so they wont hit, but this leads me to the last problem. On the drivers side the door will only open about 60 degrees or so, making it difficult to get in or out. The passenger side isn't as bad but still not very far.

I would not recommend these at all, unless you needed something anything to stay legal.

About vibrating mirrors in general. Not sure what they are called, but if you have an archery hunting buddy (or are an archery hunter yourself) they sell these small vibration dampers that are about the size of a quarter and stick on with a peel and stick adhesive. I've used them on several different mirrors, and they really help.

I used superglue and screws to keep my stock replacement mirror heads still and star washers (external lock washers) in the bushings to keep it from folding in the wind.

I found that rust will help hold them in place in the wind.

So it's self repairing you're saying Chris?

Your probably thinking of one of the limbsaver products. I use them on my bow, and they work great for dampening vibrations.

The mini limbsaver ultraquad (http://http://www.qualitysportsco.com/03007) might work to dampen the vibration of the mirrors.

Right, it comes cheaper by the dozen
Man, would I have gotten a dime for every square inch of rusty surface I had on my rigs I'd be rich... the 8x8 alone would have paid a house :chair:
