hey guys, i've been gone, bc i found out that dial up sux.

well i have my engine running now.....for you that dont know i swapped a 4.3L v6 into an 83 cj-7 that came with the 2.5 iron duke. I had to get the 168 tooth flywheel i had milled down to a smaller diamter to fit the smaller 153 tooth ring gear, i also had the holes drilled and tapped so i could use the jeep pressure plate........i had no other problems, the motor mounts went in easy and all the wiring, and hook ups did too, the only problem i am having is that my exhuast manifold on the driver's side hits my clutch slave cylinder.......i put the manifolds on backwards towards the front, and that is going to work, but i am going to have to shave a little bit off my steering shaft, and relocate the bump stop, well thats it for now

So what did the donor motor come from, I'm guessing a chevy S-10 blazer or P/U? If so, what year and is it the vortec? Which tranny you using?

it came from an s-10 blazer....but its old school, non vortec, i think an 81,but not sure....i have no power steering or anything else, just a water pump and an alternator...so i converted it from serpentine to v-belt....alsot i have a high-rise intake with an edlebrock carb....since the gm iron duke had the same bolt pattern, i am using the t4 tranny, from the flywheel back it is all orignal jeep parts specific to my vehicle, i wanted it that way so i dont have to figure out a puzzle anytime i need parts.
hope that answers ur questions.
