I can't make it this time, but shot me a PM if you ever need some company. I'm 10 minutes north of Charlotte. I wouldn't mind a trip to GWNF too! kupe.

Breaking it.........let us all know how it is there, or if anyone else knows. Is it worth the drive from anywhere. It looks to be about 400 mi. from my house.
Some buddies and I are planning a trip later on towards summer once schools out so the kids can come along and maybe I'll have the new axles under my jeep also.

Uwharrie is a very interesting place to wheel. The trails range from 3-5 on a 1-10 scale when its dry. Add in some rain and the Carolina clay turns slicker than pig****. The trails then turn from a 3-5 to a 6-9. On most of the more difficult trails you can option to go around the harder obstacles. There are numerous stream crossings, a larger creek crossing. Large rocks, small rocks, loose rocks. One of the trails we attempted, called Dutch John was impassable unless you had a winch. On opening weekend we had a few traffic jams with vehicles stuck on the more difficult spots. All in all its a very fun place to wheel.
