OME/ROCK EQ/M.O.R.E/RUGGED RIDGE/TERA FLEX/BODY ARMOR

OME 2.5” Springs, Shackles and Shocks

Pros: Ride is fantastic, handling is very much improved, components all top quality. T-Case lowering kit provided.

Cons: The shackles had no instructions and they aren’t your basic throw them together shackle. (Torque specs would have been nice.) I had to cut a small piece of chassis cross member away to mount one of the rear shocks because of shock design. You can get any color of OME bushing you want as long as it is YELLOW. This stuff was expensive.

OME CJ to YJ spring conversion kit:

Pros: High quality workmanship but not made by OME. ROCK Equipment makes OME’s conversion kit. Excellent instructions.

Cons: Chassis fasteners for mounting the hangers are not provided.

M.O.R.E power steering box bracket

Pros: High quality workmanship, excellent instructions.

Cons: No fasteners provided.

Rugged Ridge Drag and Tie Rod Kit:
Pros: Excellent quality, heavy duty tie rod ends, good price.

Cons: None that I could see or have yet to experience

Tera Flex Sway Bar Disconnects:
Pros: Excellent quality, stainless hardware, good instructions. Attach at top and bottom with stainless hairpin clips. Cool guys in their customer support department.

Cons: Won’t work with the ROCK Equipment YJ conversion plates without a slight amount of modification to the special fitting designed to screw on the stock CJ spring plate stud. The removable ROCK Equipment studs use a different size thread to attach the disconnects and shocks. These things could probably be stolen easily, but are useless without all the parts that come with the links.

Body Armor Single Hoop Front Bumper

Pros: If you can’t fab steel to build your own, this is a great bumper. It comes with the D-Ring hangers welded through, the trailer hitch is recessed and braced, two light tabs, powder coat and will accept most winches.

Cons: The powdercoat did not fare well during shipping. It won’t bolt on without some cutting, grinding and drilling if you have installed the ROCK Equipment YJ to CJ spring conversion hangers. It came with high-grade fasteners, but none that I could use on a CJ installation.
