What the largest size tire to fit a Liberty?

what's the largest tire size I can stuff under a stock (03) Liberty?

No lift....


and has anyone put in a small lift in a liberty?

Not looking to go wheeling with the wife's liberty.. she just likes the looks of a lifted rig..

29 inch tire will be close, they make a 2inch lift for them,then you can run a 30 inch tire

Mike, you can get a 245/70x16 under there with not too much trouble... that works out to be about 29.5" dia. But any larger and you're going to be rubbing. A 2 1/2" Lifts can get you a little taller, but it starts to strain some of the stock suspension parts... plus, as you get into bigger tires, you end up having to hammer down the pinch weld at the back of the front wheel wells, and will likely have to remove most of the interior splash protection... at the very least the fog light enclosure covers get rubbed.
Unless you'd like to spend a lotta bucks and do a solid front axle conversion! Then you'd have a really tough-looking Jeep, 'specially if you add an ARB Bull Bar on the front!
