K, we talked about the water leak, determined it might be the cowl seal......
K so Where the heck is that?????? Is that under the windshield? And what is the garted area inbetween the windshield abd the hood, cause thats where I think the water is coming from!
Little help?
BTW! I did get Haynes books but it didnt cover it at all.....

It is the seal underneith the windshield frame you have to fold the frame down to get to it.

Thanks. I new it was in that area but couldnt pinpoint it!
Any ideas what that area inbetween the windshield and the hood is called and what it does! I think thats where the water is coming from but not positive!

Right below the windshieldframe is called the cowl then where that ends where the grill looking panel is, that is where you get your fresh air into the inside of the cab. It is possible for it to be leaking through there. But usually you get water inbetween the upper lip of the cowl seal and under the windshield frame.

 I have a 95 wrangler and have found water in my floor when it rains hard. It is in the front , sometimes on both sides. I chased it down to the air box or vent box. I figure this is also a "jeep thing".

I had the same problem of water getting inside. I figured out water was getting in through the fresh air intake, the grill right in front of the windshield. The problem was that water was collecting in the box and running into the jeep. There is a drain tube that's connected to the box. I removed it and cleaned out all the mud that had collected in it from offroading. After that I haven't had any problems.

Thanks coug!
ok I am having the same problems as listed above, but I fixed the front seat problems (amazing what RTV will do) Now I am having water pooling in the back seat floorboard. Anyone else had this problem and have a fix for it? I have all the drain plugs capped shut and its got a hard top with a good seal, could this be just a poor door seal?
