Need some advice from guys with old jeeps, Willys,C-5s etc.

Whos your insurance company? How much is it? Full coverage or Liability?

I called yesterday and put insurance on my willys, its $52 a year for liablity only,
They gave me a quote of $750 a year for full coverage. The suggested I call a carrier that deals with classics, They did not even have a willys listed or did the lady have a clue what type of vehicle it was. So it is under misc. vehicle. with a description for now. Thanks

I go through Allstate with all of my vehicles. They listed the 3B as a 54 Willys.

You can go on line and search for Collectors Insurance and select something from there. Two I know of is www.grundy.com (http://www.grundy.com) or www.hagerty.com (http://www.hagerty.com).

I have a '73 M151 MUTT and use Grundy. You pay for the type of coverage you are looking for. I got just the basic with unlimited travel for about $60 a year. I may look to up that depending on how much traveling I do with it.

i was going to suggest hagerty but they have a lot of restrictions on usage, cant go offroad, there are often mileage limits, etc, but the prices are very resonable.

I've gotta second the Allstate remarks. My agent had a quote in seconds for a 59 CJ5, and in the past when I've filed claims they were as quick to pay my claim (to my satisfaction) as they are to cash my monthly premium checks.
