My wife said I had to sell my Ford Ranger to get the TJ. No brainer. Jeep or Ford. I think I made the right choice. :D

I have a 69 1/2 gto judge and a 68 chevy elcameno and a 77 blazer. I think it's going to be the elcameno but thats not going to be nearly enough for a jeep I might have to sale the blazer aswell. Or make the woman get a second job hahahaha

Yeah ditch the Blazer, they aren't as much fun. :D Just kidding. I was more than happy to get rid of my Ranger, it was a POS anyway. Jeeps are more fun. Now I can truly say we are a Jeepn family. :t

me too mine and my womans. I was talking to my dad last night and he got a new job that is going to have him driving alot more and his old truck isn't going to do it for him, and he was asking me about my jeep and what I thought about the grand. I think I convinced him to get one of the two. looks like he might be getting a grand but not sure. I have two uncles that drive grands and a cousin with a yj.

I am one of three Jeepers in the family. Me, my wife, and my uncle. He had a Cherokee and when he got rid of it he bought a Grand Cherokee. Ever since he sold the Blazer he had he won't buy anything but Jeeps! He rocks.

I have the origional hood, dash, top. I have a new windshield frame, tail gate, and the half doors off of my YJ. The rest is up in the air untill I get a job to pay for the rebuild. That and I have the CJ-5 to work on too.

Cool thanks. I will probably need some help. It will be a long project. On top of that if you help, when you get a resto of your own you will have an idea of where to start. I am going at this blind. ;) They are nice wheels aren't they. I think they look better on the TJ. I had them on the YJ for a while, but it won't start again. Oh well, Just Empty Every Pocket! :D
Hey CJ8-13, if you need any Scrambler advice, shoot me a PM.
BTW- I can't tell from your pix, but if your rear wheel well lips are intact, everything else is cake!!! ;)

hey scrambler, start a thread on that starting problem? have u checked the firing module?....i had a problem like urs, but it was on a 258, i dont know much about the amc four cylinders if they use a ford style system like that. that thing caused all sorts of intermitent problems for me, mostly no start, or start then die type problems it did it bc of moisture and heating, i also had a short on the pigtail of the distributor, that is a common area for the grommet and wires to wear down and deteriorate...good luck, let us know whut its doin..........

Ok to respond to a couple of you guys.
1) LWB: The body is shot. Big time. I almost fell through the floor when I picked it up. The frame is rusting through right around where it was re-enforced before I got it. The engine leaks more oil that it burns, and it burns more oil than gas. Oh yea the t-case makes this funny grinding, clanking noise, in 2wd. So it is a total resto project. I will be putting a new frame under it, rebuilding the 258, and the t-case. It will get a new steel body from Willy's Overland(I hate 'glass). I got a new half top from Specialty Top Company(cuz 4wd don't sell half tops) also got a tonneau cover from them. It will be fun. I will most likely be asking questions as I go along in the project so keep an eye out here. I will make open questions so everyone can see what is involved before they get in over their heads. Like I did!
2) Goat: It is the fuel pressure regulator. I put a new one in a while ago and it worked fine for a while, then it started leaking. So instead of another one from AutoZone(no I'm not slamming them, I get most of my replacement parts from them, this is the first bad one) I went to the Stealership to get it. That should solve the problem. If not then, trust me, I will start a thread on it. I did the last time, it helped a ton.
3) ErieJeep: LOL. My YJ isn't done yet, my TJ isn't done yet, and I have 2 resto projects in the yard to boot. I have the sickness. I am down with the sickness. Just a warning, it starts with the urge to put new parts on, then it moves down to the adrenaline gland and makes you want more power(like a 318). After you have gotten to that part there is no cure. You will become, it will engulf you, you will want a resto, or an old Jeep to build up, there is no turning back!! It is actually quite fun!! :D  :D
