Perhaps someone can help. I own a 1959 cj5 that only has 13500 miles on it. The body is junk. (Actually, it might have been rebuidable, but I had it off the frame and on a flat wagon to try to fix it and a huge pine tree fell across it and it folded up untill the tailgate nearly touched the dash.) Anyway, undaunted, I forge ahead. It came from the factory with a rear power take off and a 3 pint hitch (like on a farm tractor). The 3 point hydraulic cylinder was pushed with juice pumped by a hydraulic pump that was direct-driven off the front off the crank. The pump was mounted with a bracket to the front and side bolts of the oil pan. I would like to find one of those pumps. If possible, I would also like to find the bracket. (I have the actual 3 point hitch parts...or most of them.) I would also be interested in the contrlos that were used by the operator to direct the lift up and down. Does anyone have any ideas? Also, is there anyone out there who would be interested in a trenching machine that would fit a similar cj?
