I checked the forums before posting this.. I wasn't able to find if it had been posted before or if anyone even cared.. Never the less, I was very interested in this ver. of the new military Jeep called a "J8"

Yup. The HMMWVs are rapidly approaching the end of their lifespan, and are pretty much struggling because of the compromises that have had to be made - light, mobile vehicle weighed down on the springs with armament and armor. There will be a lot of them for sale used from depots over the next 5 - 10 years if anyone's interested in a real one.

Going back to the Jeep is going to be interesting. The Army is always fighting the 'last' war, instead of the next one, so who knows what will be needed for the next conflict.
