Nutter bypass?

Anyone do a nutter bypass? Does it work? I have an 88 6cyl. I was looking for the orange wire that he says goes from the ignition module to the ecm. But I can't find an Orange wire just greens yellow and black?

I went through wires on my 88 a while back and sometimes still wake up having nightmares about those wires. There should certainly be a orange wire as described, I would have to think that if you indeed do not have one to refer to a factory service manual wiring diagram to find out what color wire your Jeep is using instead of the orange one and splice accordingly.

I have never done the bypass, but read alot on it (as I'm sure you have). The only drawback to the system that I see is that you are still going to be using the Motorcraft (some say Motorcrap) module. Perhaps switching to a GM HEI type distributor would be the best way to go so you can get rid of the stock module all together.

I found it iis orange coming out of the module but goes right into a connector and turns green with a black stripe. As for the distributer I am going to switch to the juice box. It also has a bigger cap so there is less cross burning at 3000 rpm and above.
