I'm wanting to put new tires on my 98 GC.. i drive mostly on-road, but sometimes hit deep snow and ice... I would like to go a little bigger than stock.. But i want them to be quiet too... Any ideas??

what size rims, there are some nice all terrains out there that are coming out for some of the higher end suvs, most of them are 16 tho....i like the look of the Nitto's, has anybody had experiences with those?

The BFG All Terrain KO is a great tire. Relatively quiet, good tread life, good for wheeling and great ice/snow rating. I believe they are the only All Terrain rate for severve snow conditions. If you want a good all around tire then BFG is it. Swampers made to much noise for my likes.

I've got to go with the BFG All Terrain TA/KO's. If I wasn't in the mud, GY Wrangler RTS's are pretty nice... But yeah, the BFG's are my fav in the slop. :USA:
P.S. I've got Wrangler RTS 245/70's on my 2000 WJ... Quite happy with them so far... Wide and tacky enough for some slop, not too wide for snow, and just enough "visual beef"
My $0.02 :x

HOLY CRAP!!! Did I say "RTS's"? I meant SR-A's! I REPLACED the RTS's. Can't stand 'em. I couldn't get enough traction with RTS's to get out of a car wash!

Look whoever it was that says the bfg ko's suck obviously doesn't know how to drive. I have them and love 'em and until you put a lift on the jeep it is the best around. 30 x 9/50 is the largest without rubbing the jeep can handle. Good luck and looking at the other comments I think everyone else agrees with myself.
