I have a '75 CJ-5. I have owned it for about 6 mos. and I recently noticed teh right front was vibrating a little. I had recently put 31" Goodyear AT/S on. Ballenced and all. I pulled the tire off and noticed the; I am gueesing what is the wheel flange, was warped. I cannot find one anywhere. It is the piece that the lug bolts are attached to. If anyone knows where I can find one or can give me any information whether of not '76 parts will work on my '75, please let me know.

Thanks.

i had to do a rear hub on my 80 cj-5(sold), it looks weird bc the hub comes without splines(the one i got), apprently asyou tighten down the nut it cuts the splines itself

?????????????????????????????????????? Sorry dude, none of those parts are the front hub. Try this- http://www.4wd.com/shopwrangler/ProductDetail.asp?ProductSku=5358568H It shows the interchange of the CJ FRONT hubs. Picture is kinda small though. (The hub is the peice behind the drum)

well.........does this vehicle have four wheel drum, or front discs?
if it has four wheel drum, the parts are bout the same, if it has discs up front hes talking bout the rotor.....and by the way he hasnt posted lately to clear stuff up

The 75 didn't come with discs. Also, the rotor is separate from the hub. (Doesn't look like it, but trust me) The 4wd Hardware hub is interchangable between drum & disc. (there was an issue with swapping late rotors onto OEM drum hubs, but I think you can swap the other way)

wtf.......are they shrunk on there kinda like a ring gear or soemthing? or is this an early CJ thing, I did my front rotors on both my 83-7 and my old 80-5,and i could have sworn they were once piece...n e ways, since my knowledge on this is obviously not up to par, i bow out.

Ok, first off, I apologize for my delay in responding. I drive a semi, and not home as often as most. I am calling it a 'wheel flange' b/c i went to a parts store in FL and thought i ordered the right part, but they sent me part of the locking hub assembly and that is what they called it. It does have 4 wheel drum brakes. It appears to look like the part no. 28 in the 'Allstate4wd' web site. But at the same time the pic on the 4wd site (the part on the right of the drum) looks like it as well. I will try to get a pic of it on here tomarrow. dont know if I can b/c of weather (suppose to get snow/ice). I will be on here tomarrow regardless of weather. I thank all of you for your replies.

yah the hub isnt that hard to do, i had stripped out all the splines in the hub, but surprisingly the axle splines were ok....i would make sure they are still good. if the hub is anything like the one i had, it will come without splines on the inside and you tighten it down to cut the splines in....you have to back it out every now and then and clear the shavings, but it will go on with a little persuasion :g

good luck.,

Sorry goat, but here's the deal: It's a 75 CJ, so it comes with a D44 with 1 piece flanged axles in the back. You're thinking about your AMC 20 rear axle which has a hub held on with a nut. The 20 hub gets its splines cut into it by the rear axle when you screw on the nut that holds them together. If you look to the start of the thread, you'll see that ammo said his right front was vibrating. (actually "teh right front" but I've hit keys in the wrong order enough times to know what he means) :* Anyway ammo, what you're looking for is a front hub (on 4wd's site) The problem is, lockouts are also called hubs, which is where the confusion started for you. # 28 on the Allstate site is a REAR hub, trust me on this, there is no place to bolt a lockout onto it! If I have somehow misread this and it is your REAR hub that is warped, and it is removable, you'll need to figure out what rear axle is under you Jeep as that axle wasn't on your CJ when it was new!!
