1) Is there anything i can do to make my spedometer read the correct MPH? I got bigger tires on my stock rims and now my MPH and odometer is all messed up.

2) can i put newer XJ mirrors on my 91 to get rid of the crappy small boxy mirrors that i have now? :D

i dont know if this is the case with xjs, correct me if i am wrong jdogg, but as in cjs if you take your spedometer cable out from the tranmission, you can take out a gear that turns it....there is prolly a site out there that can get you the right gear to get you closer to what your speed really is, i dont think they can be 100% accurate. but pretty darn close, even factory your speed is a little off, i noticed this one day doing a test drive with a scanner hooked up, the wheel sensors vs. the spedo where quite a bit off in some cases (3-4mph) and dead on in others

Ya you can change the speedo to adjust the spedometer. I had a web page saved with all the different ones you need for different heights. Let me check on that one and I can post it hear I might add it to the sticky I have for the XJ's. I think it might be on my pc at home so If I don't get it today I can post it later tonight or this weekend for ya. I've heard the replacement spedos are made of cheep plastic and they have been know to crack. so you might end up replacing them over time.
And yes they can be off from the factory up to 4 mph thats why most cops will let you go if your about 5 over.

As for the mirrors I've heard that you can. there is some drilling and a slight cut out on the inner door panel. IT's just a bracket and then a power source cause the newer 97+ style are all power mirrors not sure how they mounted the control for it on the door. I can check later.

hey siver 91 xj between a 225 & 235 there might be 1/2" diff.
Wild Turkey Federation!??!? man there wont be any noticeable adjustment to be made to the speddo until you hit Mach2

Trust me, ive verified it w/ a handhelp gps the speedo matches the speed so long as yer speedo was right to begin w/
get yer self a gps or go to a local police sta & get em to radar ya & see 4 yer self...
as far as metric sizes go if you got one rigth there i'd say use a tape measure

Well this is my problem i drive 30 miles one way to work so i do 60 miles a day now on my odometer only reads 40 miles so i know its not in my head. No the only think i can think of is that when i replaced my 225/75/15's with 235/75/15's is that the 225's that were on there were suppose to be 215's and if thats the case then im about 2 sizes too big for my speedo gear. Comments??

My XJ came with 205/75/15's from the factory. I run 235/75/15's now and don't notice any big problems or changes. That's just me though; I'm Canadian and you know what we're like. ;)
