I'm a brand new 05 Liberty owner. I am looking to lift it up about 3". Can anyone recommend a good kit?

There are different kits out today for the KJ and here are some that might work for you. The Daystar spacer kit has been around a long time and has done a great job. Rusty's has a kit that they have had out for some tiome that does an outstanding job. it is a full spring kit with a good price. You did not say if you were going to do the install your self or have a shop do it. Do you plan on using it off road or not. Are you looking to get the more on or off road ride. Add some more info and I will try to help dial this in for you. There are some others but these seem to fit a lot of needs for the KJ owners. Hope this helps. later...Clint

Sorry to be so vauge. I would prefer to do it myself, but I want it to still preform on the highway (wife still has to drive it). And I do not plan on doing much off road with it... Maybe a couple times a year. I want to get maybe some 245 75 15's (rubicon tires) under it, and go through some good mud pits.

OK then...
The Daystar is a spacer kit that has a great ride. it is a 2.5 in lift and the 245s would not be a problem with just a little inner liner trimming. You would have to have a spring compressor for this kit ... or take the strut to a shop that can tear them down and put them together with all the new parts and then you install the strut.
The Rusty's kit is a spring kit and it offers a great ride as well. It is a 2.5 lift as well and again you would have to have a spring compressor or a shop that can do the work and then you install the strut.
The Old Man Emu kit is also outstanding and has a great ride. only a 2" kit but this is an outstanding kit with no problems at all. Might have to do a little more trimming but works great. this is a spring kit and same for all the other kits about the compressor or shop.
if you go witha 2.5 you will have to change the rear shocks. It would also be a great time to change out the front struts as well. Hope this helps. later...Clint

I highly recommend the Rusty's 2.5" Lift. I just installed it on my wife's KJ and have not been disappointed. I just was in the process of ordering a Skyjacker 2.5" coil over when I heard about all the reviews on the Rusty's. They use OME struts and shocks and the drive is better than stock, even with 245/75/16's on it.
