I am looking at purchasing a winch... which one would be the better choice: Mile Marker 9,000lb. 2 Speed Hydraulic Winch or WarnŽ HS9500I lb Winch With Roller Fairlead

Even if you drive something bigger than a xj you could probably save some money and just but an M8000 it's only $589 at rustysoffroad.com

I'd rather deal with electric over Hydraulic problems anyday.

I gather you've seen the new Warn 9.5ti. I put it on my RUBI 12/02, thought hydralic for a second, you don't want to have to rely on engine power to run a winch. just my $.02. TJ

I'd go for the electric, just my .02 cents
Speed is all important.... When you are driving up the side of a hill with the winch assisting, the last thing you want to worry about is running over your own cable. I know the MM is 2 speed, but tell me who is going to climb on the front of your jeep to shift it while you're climbing a sheer wall    If you're using it occasionally, I would go with the 9500, I've got a XD9000i on my TJ, and it suits it fine. But if you're going to get crazy, nothing beats the line speed of the ol' reliable- 8274! I've got one on my Scrambler and the only winch that's better is the 8274-50 on my buddy's Scrambler!!

I have a friend that has a Dodge Powerwagon with a PTO, it pulls stumps like nobody's business. If the engine dies though, the winch is gone too. Nice truck, even though it's not very well maintained.

Thanks she is starting to take on a life of her own. The other day she asked me for the credit card because there was a sale down at the mall. :D :D
It is an SMF Bumper I think they are made in Canada? There is a 4X4 shop close to me in Snohomish WA. call Olympic 4x4 Supply(they have a large used parts section). I liked the design I hadn't seen this design before.

I just bolted the bumpers (Front & Rear) and the winch on last night I am going to wire it up tonight.
