I think my shocks are shot, i know it sounds like an easy thing to check out, but what im more wondering is, if I put new shocks on it will oviously raise the jeep, but im wondering how much. I have an 89n cherokee pioneer, with get this 108,000 miles, so i have some life left in it.

Do you have a lift on it. Do you plan on lifting it. How much offroading do you do with your jeep.

unless your shocks are really really bad and you can't afford the lift yet I would wait. You don't want to get new shocks and then end up blowing them out if there two long for what you need.

The only thing it's going to do really if you get stock ones back on your rig. Your just going to return it back to the height it was when you bought it.

thats the thing, i bought the car used at helping hands of america, so you get what you get. im just wondering due to the sag of bad shocks, would new ones return it to its prior condition, in which case i dont know what that would be

ya it will help with some lift but not much it's your leafs that do most of the lifting. you might get half an inch.
